Who am I?

I’m passionate about helping my clients to create and maintain healthy work-life balance and a life as rich in movement as possible.

I help people feel better with massage, craniosacral work and Thai massage and empower them to find their own strength with 1:1 yoga & mindfulness and movement coaching sessions.

Bio

Nature and movement have always inspired and energised me. My childhood was spent outdoors – climbing trees, being on or in water, camping, riding my bike, gazing at the clouds, lying in the grass watching bugs and exploring the countryside.

Yoga became my solace in my twenties, during 4 years of city living and working in the non-stop world of publishing in Asia.
It was here – since reaching the great outdoors was far trickier than just opening the back door – that
my love of movement and exploring brought me to a more internal perspective. Daily yoga practice helped me deal with elevated anxiety levels, deadline overwhelm and helped me feel grounded when I got caught up in my thoughts. Escaping to move in nature happened at weekends, but it was yoga and mindfulness that helped me through the week and the skilful touch and words of bodyworkers who supported my work life balance.

Living in London, I make it priority to ensure plenty of time for being active outdoors each day. I love finding ways to work in nature, the daily ritual of walking our dogs, wild swimming, camping, getting mud between my toes and whizzing around the countryside on two wheels.

Louise’s Teaching

Whether it be yoga or natural movement coaching, my teaching focusses on integrating movement and breath, while keeping a connection to heart. I create classes suitable for people of all ages – whether their desire is to be calmer, more energised or simply to move more.

I work with many people who have a desire develop a kinder approach to being in their body and mind – this can be through reducing physical and mental tension, or through finding their power and strength.

I find working with young people a real joy! I’m a qualified teacher of Yoga and Mindfulness for Teens, for clients with eating disorders and also trained as SunMoon Community and Partner Yoga teacher. Classes for young people look beyond the poses to consider at the moral, ethical and societal guidelines of yoga – including non-violence, truthfulness and moderation as part of self enquiry.
